Info

Double Bach is a collaborative project between musician Pablo Martín Caminero – whose original idea it was to adapt the Suites for cello No 1 and 2 by J.S. Bach for the double bass, bringing together both the tonality and technique (pizzicato instead of the bow), – and the choreographer Antonio Ruz. With the powerful dancing of acclaimed ballerina Melania Olcina, the piece presents an intimate, indoor space in which the dancers share and dialog from a state of non- thinking, from emptiness; a shared solitude, a desert-ocean, a blank canvas where the music, movement and light (or the absence thereof) evoke fragility, profundity and imbalance. The return to simplicity.
